How to make a ringtone

  1. Open a song, or drop it on the page.
  2. Drag the highlighted part to the section you want, and press Play to hear it.
  3. Choose iPhone or Android and select Save.

Adding it to an iPhone

Save the M4R file and connect your iPhone to a computer. On a Mac, open Finder, select your iPhone and drag the file onto it. On Windows, use the Apple Devices app or iTunes. It then appears in Settings under Sounds & Haptics. An iPhone ringtone can be up to 40 seconds, so the selection stops there.

Adding it to Android

Save the MP3 and copy it to your phone's Ringtones folder, or open it on the phone and set it as your ringtone. The exact steps differ between phone makers.

Questions about Ringtone maker

Is my song uploaded?

No. The song is decoded and cut in your browser and stays on your device.

Why can I not choose iPhone?

M4R files use the AAC encoder built into the browser. Use current Chrome, Edge or Safari on a computer, or save an MP3 for Android.

What do the fades do?

They bring the sound in and out over about a second, so the ringtone does not start or stop abruptly. You can turn them off.

Can I use any song?

The tool works on any audio file you have. Please use music you have the right to use.
